Artist KIYOTO
KIYOTO is a Japanese KIRIE artist. Kirie is a Japanese Traditional paper-cutting art, and he is one of the most well know artist in this field. His art work is used as a official postal stamp design.
The objects of his art are very traditional Japanese scenery, but still he uses pop and eye-catchy colors and designs. It is mix of tradition and pop. That's because he has a background as a commercial designer. He designed some commercial posters for major Japanese companies such as Sanyo Electric Co. and Toray Industries Inc. That experience gave him the idea of mixing Japanese tradition and eye-catchy pop design.
